The Tomo Bar & Eatery was established in 2017 having stood the test of time and servicing the locals as ‘Curlys Bar’ for 13 years. The Tomo Bar & Eatery is a modern, casual establishment owned by kiwis and run by kiwis. Less than 2 minutes walk is Waitomo Village Chalets; it’s our recommendation for Tomo customers as a friendly cozy place to stay in the heart of the Waitomo village. Green and spacious, Waitomo Village Chalets is a special experience. From its inception in 2002 visitors loved the special feeling of the place.
The Tomo Bar & Eatery founder Christen ‘Crusty’ Dimond is passionate about Waitomo, his dad was one of the founders of tourism in Waitomo and key to its success. Crusty continues that legacy.
